Here at BiG lpg Automotive Service, every car that comes through our doors for a service qualifies for a free health check, which is usually priced at £40 plus VAT. Our filter services include:
- Filter Service 1: Oil and Filter Change, Labour Costs Only £30 Plus VAT
- Filter Service 2: Oil and Air Filter Change, Labour Cost Only £40 Plus VAT
- Filter Service 3: Oil, Air, and Pollen Filter Change, Labour Cost Only £50 Plus VAT
- Filter Service 4: Oil, Air, Pollen, and Fuel Filter Change, Labour Only £60 Plus VAT
Please note that not all cars require the same services and for some types of cars service labour is higher as hard access of filters. Larger cars with extra filters are excluded from this list.
Car servicing and repairs
The key to keeping your car running right and reliably is routine maintenance and servicing. We at Biglpg want to keep your car on the road for as long as possible and running as it should from the day you brought it. From basic oil and filter changes, changing spark plugs and other filters to cam belts and fluid changes, we aim to uphold the manufacturer’s specifications but not at the prices they can charge.
You do not need to use a main dealer to keep your warranty
When you buy a new car, you may feel you need to return to the main dealer for regular servicing to keep your warranty valid. This is not the case. They will not let on but as long as you use the recommended parts, any garage can service your vehicle, stamp your service book and keep your warranty valid. They will not be able to carry out repairs under that warranty but a yearly or scheduled service at a garage outside a main dealership will keep your car running just as well but at a fraction of the cost.
A service is not just an oil change
Rumour may spread that a service is just a basic oil filter and oil change. Yes, they are changed at the time but a full service will check the condition of your car from top to bottom, front to back. Tyres, brakes, safety features, exhausts, suspension, rust and general wear and tear all need to be checked and watched for deterioration as this could result in failure. Your car is only as good as its maintenance and fixing a problem early can save you money in the long run
The importance of servicing on time
Modern engines are finely tuned for peak performance and economy as well as being environmentally friendly. For this reason, they use special lubricants, oils, fluids and components that will need changing regularly. All these components will break down over time and if not changed within the recommended time frame can actually damage your car. Coolants, brake fluids, cam belts, fan belts, spark plugs and other components all have a set lifespan so save your car a lot of problems and get them changed as recommended.

Paying for a service at a garage may seem like a pointless cost. Everyone can pick up a manual and service a car but only a trained specialist knows the workings of your vehicle and understands the importance of what needs to be done. Should the worse happen and something go wrong with your car rest assured that we will fix it to the highest standard for the right price. We will quote a full price for all jobs required before repairs and once agreed complete the work promptly and to the standard required for your car. All jobs can be undertaken including head gaskets, water pumps, clutch and gearbox faults, MOT failures and knocking noises.

We provide professional, fast and reliable MOT services in Barking. Our workshop is designed to carry out MOTs as its main purpose - we can provide MOTs for all makes and models as well as vans and minibuses. Our fully qualified staff provide an exceptional level of customer service at all times. We only undertake work with your prior consent, and all work and parts are guaranteed.
