ADAS CALIBRATION

Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) have been developed to improve the driving experience. These systems use a combination of cameras and sensors that are often built into car windscreens. An ADAS calibration is a process carried out to correctly align the cameras and sensors of a car so that its ADAS system can work as intended.At BiGlpg Automotive service, our technicians are trained to the highest standards with ADAS equipment to complete a cameras,radars and lasers calibration to the manufacturer's required standard.

Here at BiGlpg Automotive service we have invested in the latest ADAS equipment and facilities to ensure customers remain safe on the road.A calibration is preformed to correct misalignment, so that your vehicles ADAS system is working as intended. If a calibration is missed, an ADAS component may not function as it should and could cause a potential risk to you and others on the road.

When should ADAS systems be calibrated?

Depending on where the ADAS radar sensor is mounted will affect when you will need the system calibrated. The sensors can be mounted to any of the following:

  • Windscreen
  • Roofs header
  • Rearview mirror
  • Front grill

If any of these mounting options are moved, replaced or damaged then calibration is needed. An example of these systems are

  • Adaptive LightingAutomatic Distance Control (ADC)
  • Multi Collision Braking / Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
  • Lane Assist.
